Plain terms for a plain product.

DrawDog is a Mac app and website that records how a piece of work was made and issues a certificate describing that process. It is a record of what the software observed. It is not a guarantee of authorship, originality, or the absence of AI, and it is not an AI detector. The method page describes exactly what a certificate does and does not establish, and is part of these terms.

You must be at least 16 to hold an account. You are responsible for keeping your password and your Mac secure; certificates issued from your Mac are issued under your account. Tell us promptly at privacy@drawdog.art if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

A certificate describes a recording session. You agree not to misrepresent what one says — for example, presenting a “Recorded, not certified” result as certified, editing a certificate page, or presenting a certificate for one file as covering a different file. You also agree not to try to manufacture a record that does not reflect how the work was actually made. We may withdraw certificates we reasonably believe were obtained that way, and say so on the certificate page.

You own your work. Issuing a certificate gives us no rights in it. We hold only the record described in the privacy policy, and you can withdraw or delete it.

The free plan includes three certificates per calendar month. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe and renew until you cancel, which you can do at any time from your dashboard; you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for. Prices are shown on the pricing page and may change with at least 30 days’ notice by email. We don’t offer refunds for partial months, except where the law requires it.

We work to keep the service running and certificates reachable, but we provide it “as is”. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not promise that any third party — a client, a platform, a court — will accept a certificate as evidence of anything. A certificate is one input to someone else’s judgement, not a substitute for it.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost work or lost business. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You can stop using DrawDog at any time and delete your account by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used to deceive, after telling you why unless the law prevents it. If we ever shut the service down, we will give at least 90 days’ notice and keep certificate pages readable for that period so you can save them.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States. If part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; if a change matters, we will say so on this page and, for account holders, by email, and the date at the top is the date of the last change.
